You need to cancel your program for a covered reason

As you know, unexpected things can happen after enrolling in a program: medical problems arise; family members or traveling companions become ill; your home could be impacted by a natural disaster. If you need to cancel your trip for these or other covered reasons, the Trip Cancellation benefit reimburses you not only for Eduwild cancellation penalties but also your unused transportation arrangements including airfare costs, even if you purchased your airfare independently.

You must cancel your program for a reason not covered by the plan (“Cancel for Any Reason”)

If you need to cancel your trip for any reason not covered by insurance, you’ll receive a credit* good for future travel with Eduwild for the full amount of the Eduwild cancellation fee.

You need to leave your program early

During a program, accidents, illnesses or other unforeseen emergencies—whether they happen to you, your traveling companion, or a member of your or your traveling companion’s immediate family, may cause you to miss a portion of your program or return home earlier than expected. Eduwild cannot issue refunds to participants for program days missed due to accidents, injuries, illnesses, or other emergencies; however, if you purchase the Trip Protection Plan, you will be reimbursed for program days you miss due to a covered event.

You are delayed going to or returning home from your program

These days, with increasing frequency, air travel is impacted by weather or mechanical problems. The resulting delays could not only delay your arrival to the program but cause you to incur additional expenses while catching up to the program. The Travel Delay/Missed Connection benefit will reimburse you for additional expenses you incur to catch up to the program, including transportation, accommodation and meal expenses.

You must isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19

Should COVID-19 cause you to isolate or quarantine, the plan helps reimburse you for additional accommodation, meal and transportation expenses you may incur, as well as reimbursement for missed program days. Please note that the quarantine coverage in the Trip Protection Plan is limited, and we recommend reviewing the policy details and contacting Aon Affinity, the plan administrator, if you have specific questions regarding coverage for expenses related to isolation or quarantine due to COVID-19.

You need to cancel your airfare whether purchased through Eduwild or independently

Another great benefit of the plan is that it covers the cost of your airfare if you need to cancel your enrollment, whether you purchase your airline tickets with Eduwild or independently. Even though the plan cost is based on your Program Price, your airfare is protected, too.

Your Trip Protection Plan is 100% refundable if we must cancel your program

Unlike most travel insurance plans, if Road Scholar cancels your program prior to the start date, the cost of your Trip Protection Plan will be canceled and refunded automatically in full. This gives you peace of mind in knowing that if Eduwild must cancel your program, your program investment as well as the cost of your trip protection plan will be refunded in full

On Your Feet I’m comfortable with some walking throughout the day. I expect to get on and off of a coach, and I’m ready to stroll through cities and to stand for a few hours when we’re learning in museums.

Keep the Pace I like to spend much of the day exploring. Whether walking through historic neighborhoods at a moderate pace or out and about on a coach, I prefer to keep my days full. Stairs don’t bother me, and I love to keep up with the group.

Let's Go! Walking is the best way to get to know a new place. I’m energetic and enjoy a good physical challenge, so I’m always ready to spend the day on the move. Whether it’s public transit, city streets or village cobblestones, I’m game.

Outdoor: No Sweat I exercise for fun, not to win contests. I like to explore at an easy pace, stopping to snap photos and smell the roses. Varied terrain doesn’t scare me, but let’s not do anything too extreme.

Outdoor: Spirited I enjoy getting my heart going on my bike or on trails. Nothing beats the thrill of taking on a rewarding climb or ride on varied terrain with inclines. Let’s keep moving — occasional stops only, please.

Outdoor: Challenging I love pushing myself, and I can keep a steady pace on rugged and steep terrain. This is as challenging as it gets? Great. Let’s do this. At the end of the day, I want to feel like I’ve had a real workout.
